Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Spring 2016 (Preview Day Jan. 20) Bham: Home School PE Classes

Dear Home School Parents,

It's the start of a brand new year, so that means it's getting time for a new session of Home School P.E. classes offered with St. Vincent's 119 children's programs. I hope you all are ready to mark your calenders for another great time for your kids to learn through play and learn about living active healthy lives. I appreciate many of the returning parents that have given great feedback and we have taken it into consideration while planning activities for this session. In this email, I've included the information for our fast approaching Spring Session of the P.E. classes. Please feel free to reply to this email or contact anyone in our Chilrdren's Programs Department at (205) 408-6556 if you have any questions about this program.

PREVIEW DAY: January 20th at 1:00pm:  To get started, we will meet in the gym. For the first 30 minutes, we will have games and activities for them to do while you can meet the staff, and get a glimpse into what the program will offer. The second half, the kids will get a chance to meet the staff that will swim with them at the pool. This is also the best time to get registered and pay the first months fees.

WHO CAN ATTEND: Children participating in Home-School work for Kindergarten through age 15. If you have older children and are looking for something for them to do, we can introduce you to a couple of options. (Please inquire about this at preview day)
WHEN CLASS WILL RUNMonday & Wednesday 1:00pm-2:15pm. The 12 week session will start January 25th & end April 15th. We will have additional make up days if class has had to be canceled.
WHERE TO GO: Always meet in the gymnasium/pool for the start of class depending on what group your child is in and what their class is scheduled for.
COST: The cost for the first child will be $55 per month. Every additional child will cost $44 per month.
WHAT CAN THE PARENTS DO?: For members: You are welcome to use anything included in your membership. For non-members you may use the indoor or outdoor tracks as well as utilize our spa or cafe services. We do offer guest passes for $25 per week. If you have children that are too young for the P.E. class, we do offer a childcare center in the building. A $3 fee may apply for non-members. This area is for ages 4 months to 6 years of age.
**As you enter the building for classes, please go through the glass doors on your left and stop by our fitness desk prior to each class attended and tell them your child is here for Home School PE. This is our way of making sure we know who is in the building at all times.

**A packet of information will also be handed out during the preview day on January 20th. This will include detailed information about each class as well as a registration form, and calender. If you are interested in registering, but can not make the class time on the preview day, feel free to contact me or Samantha Clayton and we will be happy to send you more information as well as register your child. Children enrolled will be assigned either to be in Group A or Group B. Both classes will meet at 1pm, but will be in different areas of the facility and supervised by different staff. We will know more about who will be in each group as we get the registration information on each child. In the past we have separated groups by age, however due to prior class sizes, we may adjust groups so that we have more children in both groups, and not limited by  a specific age range.

**I would like to apologize for the delay in getting these dates out, but I hope you all can still join us for a great session! As always, we welcome any questions, comments or concerns you may have. Below is the contact information for this program and it's staff.
