Ms. Deb Spradlin:
As you may know vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among teens in America. The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs is partnering with The Governors Highway Safety Association and Ford Driving Skills for Life to bring a free hands-on teen safe driving program to Montgomery. We would like to extend an invite for the students of Teen Scene to attend this behind-the-wheel training clinic.
The program is taking place on April 21st at Paterson Field. There will be two half-day sessions. The free advanced driver training program will provide newly permitted and licensed drivers in the Montgomery area with an opportunity to drive vehicles on a closed course under the supervision of professional instructors.
The Ford Driving Skills for Life program is dedicated to providing young and inexperienced drivers with the training and tools they need to stay safer behind the wheel. Each session will focus on equipping teens with new skills in key areas that they tend to lack: hazard recognition, vehicle handling, space and speed management, and distracted and impaired driving.
