Holi: A Festival of Color! / Saturday, March 12 / 11AM-3PM / FREE admission
The Museum and the Indian Cultural Society are thrilled to host Holi, the Indian celebration of color, for the sixth year in a row! Last year, over 2,000 people enjoyed classical Indian and Bollywood style dancing and music, food, storytelling, art-making, and gallery exploration. Click here to see the full schedule for the day.
Before you celebrate with us this Saturday, here are 5 things to look forward to at Holi:
- Art Activities
Create art with activities for all ages, explore the Museum with scavenger hunts, and get adorned with a Henna tattoo!
- Fun for Kids
The event is very family friendly, including a special family tour at 11:30AM and storytelling at 12:30PM.
- Live Performances
See local youth groups perform at 11AM, followed by professional dance and music at 1PM. See the full list of performers here.
- Food
Local food trucks will be along the Museum's Garden Walk, available for food and drink purchases throughout the day.
- And, of course, COLOR!
It wouldn't be Holi without color! Throw colors in our parking lot, and be sure to wear something you don't mind washing!
