Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

THIS EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED.....

Please join us on Friday, May 27th, at the Madison County Nature Trail to celebrate the end of a school year. From 10 a.m. to noon, I will have a Memorial Day Craft activity available at the pavilion*. I will also have red and blue dyes available for those who wish to tie dye shirts**. Hike around the trail, as a family or with friends, before or after the craft activity, if you would like. We have the pavilion reserved until 1 p.m. you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to eat there.

Please RSVP to Kari by May 13th, if you plan to participate in the craft activity or tie dying, so I can get supplies together. The trail is located at the end of South Shawdee Road, which is off of Green Mountain. More information can be found here: http://madisoncountyal.gov/services/green-mountain-nature-trail

*Craft activity will be determined by May 1st. There may be a small fee for materials.
**I will bring only dye and spray bottles. You will need to bring your own cotton shirts and rubber bands.
