Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Wolfram language Programming Curriculum (FREE)

My name is Beccy Remenji, current homeschool mom of four amazing kids. As my oldest readies herself to start middle school in the fall, I have searched for many resources aimed at teaching her
how to program or, at the very least, exposing her to computer science. But I don't have a technical background, and I don't want to get completely lost in the process. That's why I'm writing to you today.

Several years ago, I worked at Wolfram full time and have followed them since. I discovered a great free resource called Wolfram Programming Lab, which lends itself well to both self-led
individual learning and instructor-led group learning environments. So this fall, I plan to co-teach a class in a local homeschool co-op using this free curriculum. Additionally, the book An Elementary Introduction to the Wolfram Language is integrated into the program, making this free resource a complete programming curriculum.

I invite you to explore Wolfram Programming Lab with your kids and pass this free resource on to your peers:  http://url.wolfram.com/1L5.ZQ.g/

I would love to field your questions about the Wolfram Language or on how to get started teaching programming in your homeschool or co-op.

Wishing each of you a fantastic upcoming homeschool year!
