Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Programming at the North Alabama Agriplex:

Little Farmers:  Preschoolers aged 2-5 with a parent explore different agricultural related topics one Friday each month through hands on activities.  Each Class is $5 per participant with a maximum of $10 per family.  Class time is 10:00-11:00 AM.

December 9:  Evergreens

Farm Kids Club:  Children ages 5 & up accompanied by an adult are encouraged to explore a different topic related to agriculture through hands on discovery.  Farm Kids Club meets one Saturday each month and costs $5 per child per program with a maximum of $10 per family.

Heritage Homeschool:  A series of hands-on science programs for homeschoolers and their parents once a month.  Classes are held one Tuesday a month from 9-11 AM.  $8 per student with a maximum of $16 per family.

Living Landscapes:  A monthly educational series offering valuable information about sustainability in your own backyard.  Classes are taught by experts in the field including local farmers and extension agents.  All programs are $5 per person unless otherwise noted.
