Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Mobile: Co-op

Dear Homeschoolers,

Classically Homeschooled has offered weekly academic support for homeschoolers in the Mobile area for nearly a decade, and will continue to provide excellent courses led by credentialed teachers. New this year is a wonderful option, an all day Christian Academic Co-Op at Mars Hill Church led by Brandy Cagle.  All Classically Homeschooled high school students are invited to participate in their annual Pride and Prejudice Ball 1800’s dance program.  Classes begin after labor day and meet through mid-May.

CHS will continue to offer individual courses focusing on the language arts, as their alumni are very well prepared for college courses in English and composition.  Whether you plan to attend college or not, all students need to become excellent writers and orators.   Classes are offered at various locations including Mars Hill Church, and Host Family Homes; for more information about CHS individual classes contact  Martha Benton at marthabentonchs@gmail.com

A wonderful weekly academic co-op for 9th-10th graders that will begin with praise and worship each day and study a broad range of subjects.  Selected courses will be taught within this program by credentialed teachers, and a few will be led by homeschool parent-tutors.
More specifically, The Mars Hill Co-Op will meet two days per week, Mondays and Tuesdays from 9-2,  offering academic instruction in algebra, writing, literature, history, and the old and new testaments, and science.
If you would like to learn more about this unique co-op experience, then attend one of their informational sessions, and/or contact  Brandy Cagle for a counseling appointment to find out if this program is a good fit for your homeschool family:      brandycagle@live.com
