Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Oct. 3, 2017 Hoover: Hoover Police Explorer Program (ages 14 and up)

Dear Student,

The Hoover Police Department would like to invite you to our Explorer program where you can learn about the different careers available to you in law enforcement. As an Explorer, you will get hands on experience with officers that specialize in their fields of training.

We invite you to our annual First-Nighter meeting on October 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Hoover Public Safety Center located at 2020 Valleydale Road; see map attached for more directions. You are welcome to bring a friend or your parents.

The Explorer program is for students ages fourteen through twenty. Through our program, you will learn leadership skills, public speaking, and self confidence and gain community service hours through various events around Hoover. We also participate in state and national competitions in: domestic violence, hostage negotiation, bomb threat response, crime scene investigation, and many more.

For more information, contact Sergeant Kim Quattlebaum at quattlek@ci.hoover.al.us

We hope to see you there!
