I just wanted to remind you that Calhoun still has Workforce Development Scholarship funding available for the fall 2018 semester.
Funded programs include: Computer Information Systems – Programming and Networking, Cybersecurity, EMT, Certified Nursing Assistant, Drafting, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Process Technology, Robotics and Welding.
English, math and science courses required for qualified programs may be covered by the scholarships aa well.
Dual Enrollment EMT classes will be offered this fall as part of the Afternoon Academy on the Calhoun Huntsville campus, at the Decatur Fire & Rescue Center and at the Limestone County Career Technical Center.
Huntsville Campus EMS: Classes will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 until 4:30.
Decatur Fire & Rescue EMS: Classes will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 AM until 9:00 AM.
Limestone County EMS: Classes will meet Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM until 8:30 AM
All Dual Enrollment EMS programs begin in August 2018 and end in May 2019.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will be offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 to 9:00 on the Calhoun Decatur campus during the fall 2018 semester.
Students who successfully complete these Health Science programs are eligible to sit for National Certification exams and licensure in health science fields.
Computer Science classes are available on both the Huntsville and Decatur Calhoun campuses.
Advanced manufacturing classes are offered on our Decatur campus.
Dual Enrollment welding will once again be offered on the Decatur campus.
Dual Enrollment Manufacturing Safety Practices (ADM 111) will be offered on the Decatur and on the Huntsville campus during Fall 2018. Students who successfully complete the class have the opportunity to earn NCCER, OSHA Safety, and MCCS industry credentials.
