Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Nature Day Camp
Hurricane Creek Park, Echota Cherokee Tribal Land, and Earthworks Environmental Ed Center; New camp exploring our natural world and our Native American Heritage with adventure activities including hiking, canoeing, heritage crafts, and storytelling.

Sewing 101- 9:00 am to 12:00pm

For ages 7-12 and 5-6 with an adult. Sewing Camp 101 is designed for children interested in learning to sew. For ages 9-18. Sewing Camp 102 is designed for Sewing Camp alumni who want to expand their sewing skills by reviewing hand stitching and moving on to machine sewing. Each camper will bring their own sewing machine to learn on by making easy projects to take home. August 10 Cullman Sewing Camp 103- 9:00 am to 3:00 pm North Alabama Agriplex, 1714 Talley Ho Street, Cullman, AL 35056, 256-297-1044 For ages 9-18. This workshop is designed for Sewing 102 alumni who want to further their sewing experience by learning pattern reading and make a project from their own pattern. Sewing machine experience required. Campers will learn to read a pattern, to purchase fabric, follow pattern directions and complete one project to take home. $25
