Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

BATTLE OF DECATUR CIVIL WAR ENCAMPMENT TOUR

ADMISSION: FREE

Please arrive by 9am. We will be touring, with a guide, the Civil War Battle of Decatur Reenactment Camp. There will be a number of stations to visit, for roughly 10 to 15 minutes each. All with volunteers in period dress. The tour will officially end around noon, but feel free to stay and explore on your own until 2:30pm. The Captain has requested a number of attendees for our group, so please follow the RSVP instructions below. 

Please RSVP to Jamie Birath at fieldtripmoney@gmail.com with the number of adults, children and ages of children attending. Also include a contact phone number for a reminder text prior to the field trip.
