Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Deadline Oct. 24, 2019, Cullman: Young Entrepreneurs Academy (for high schoolers)

Hi Mrs. Spradlin,

Below is a description of our newly formatted Young Entrepreneurs Academy. If you know any students that might be interested, please let me know. I am looking to fill the class ASAP and I would love to have some of our great Home Schoolers! Also, here is a link to a video I filmed with Cullman Daily that gives an overview. https://www.facebook.com/CullmanDailyNews/videos/771960666566836/UzpfSTE2MzcyOTUyNDYzMDAxMTg6MjkwMDc2MzcxNjYxOTkyNQ/?eid=ARBxk06N7jYScurmsM6vgZYlkHpIFDf6OL8Y7oY4MH6PE29YN2dK4GjkyqZ-nqs0c0cAVPNvSHY12rxF

The Chamber is accepting applications for this year’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy! If you are a high school age student and have an idea for a new business, invention or non-profit, then we are looking for you!

The YEA program meets once a month and teaches selected students how to start and run a business. While a member of the YEA class, students will generate business ideas, conduct market research, write business plans, pitch to panel of investors (for a chance to win real money!) and launch their very own companies. One lucky student business will win an all expenses paid trip to New York to compete in the Saunders Scholars Competition for a chance to win scholarships, prize packages and the title of America’s Top Young Entrepreneur.

The YEA program is fun, informative and a great tool for students to take into the future. YEA students will meet many local business and industry professionals during the duration of the program. The knowledge and connections made through YEA could really be valuable in their future.

In some communities around the nation, the Young Entrepreneurs Academy can cost a student up to $1,000 in tuition. The Cullman Chamber chapter of YEA is proud to offer this program to local students for FREE.

We know Cullman County is home to some of the best students in the state and the nation. That is why we are confident there are some local students here that have some million dollar ideas! For more information about the Young Entrepreneurs Academy please visit www.yeausa.org
