Good afternoon!
The Arts Council of Montgomery has some exciting programming coming in the next few months. As we are all dreadfully aware, COVID-19 has caused quite a change in our activities in all facets of our lives. We are attempting to plan ACES (Artistic Competition for Exceptional Students), DOOT (Doing Our Own Thing), and Draw Montgomery (partnership between the Arts Council of Montgomery and the American Institute of Architects) with positivity in an uncertain time. These are long standing programs of the Arts Council of Montgomery, some with monetary awards.
· ACES will be completely virtual this year. We will be requesting digital images and videos for submissions. If you cannot produce your own video audition, we can help with that!
Registration will be online, same as last year.
· DOOT will be held in person with limited numbers, open to River Region high school students.
· Whether virtual or in person, DRAW MONTGOMERY awards will be held in May.
Please share this email with your friends, teachers, and other arts inspired individuals. www.artscouncilmontgomery.org is where you can view previous programming,
