Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

June 6-16, 2022 (Deadline May 13), Huntsville: MUREP Summer Bridge Program


In 2021, Drake State and NASA launched the Minority University Research Education Project (MUREP) project to “bring minority students into STEM education and workforce pipeline”.  As part of this initiative, students are able to participate in the MUREP Summer Bridge Program this summer scheduled for June 6-16, 2022.

 

The following information is requested from each student who applies for the program.

 

  • A copy of your High School Transcript (can be official or unofficial)
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation  https://form.jotform.com/220545884969170  (Link for Letters of Recommendation)
  • A Personal Statement that discusses your future plans for college and a career pathway. Please include how this program will assist you in meeting those goals and how you can serve your community with the knowledge you gain. (250 words)
