We are happy to announce that on October 1, 2022, our 2023 Graduating High School Senior Scholarship Application will go live. This electronic application can be found on the Gadsden State website. For your convenience, I have attached the directions for completing this application. Feel free to make as many copies for your seniors as needed.
This year the Start Strong Scholarship will be included on this high school scholarship application. This will be the only way for high school students to apply for the Start Strong Scholarship.
Please remind your students that all application submissions are final and must be submitted electronically. Please encourage the students to submit their applications closer to the deadline if they expect to receive additional recommendation letters, achievement awards or complete volunteer activities to add their resumes. Individual documents cannot be added to the application after it is submitted. Applications will not be reviewed before the March 1 deadline, so no priority is given to early submissions.
As always, the deadline is March 1, 11:59:59 p.m. A complete scholarship package includes the information below.
· A completed 2023 Graduating High School Senior Scholarship Application.
· GPA on the 100 point scale weighted or unweighted, NOT only core classes, but all classes. (Max of 100 points)
· Transcript through the end of grade 11.
· Documentation of student ACT score with the ACT logo and student name (if required.) It is permissible to complete an ACT score upgrade form before the March 1 deadline if a higher ACT score is achieved after the scholarship application has been submitted.
