Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Barber Motorsports Park Tour and Activity (ages 8 and up)

Details: The Barber Motorsports Park is an 880 acre, multi-purpose racing facility located on the eastern fringes of Birmingham, Alabama. It was built by George Barber and includes the Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum, which has been named “World’s Largest Motorcycle Museum” by the Guinness World Records.

After we arrive and check in we will split up into two seperate groups for our tour and activity. The first group is for ages 8-12, roughly 3rd-6th grade and the second group will be for ages 13 and up, roughly 7th grade-High School.

We will learn how motorcycles were developed and utilized over the course of history, as well as how they impacted Alabama, the U.S., and the world. The older students will also get a tour of the advanced design center. After the tour, both groups will participate in an engaging activity led by our guides and volunteers of the museum.  

Cost: $15.00 per student. $5.00 per adult.  Because space is limited, there can only be one adult per family.  

Deadline: November 14th. Space is very limited.
