Everest Academy Senior, Jacob Edington, is working toward earning his private pilot's license as part of his Senior year plan, and this week he flew his first solo flight. Jacob is a student member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, volunteering at Young Eagles events, Fly-ins, and the EAA National Trailer at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. He received the prestigious Ray Aviation Scholarship through the Experimental Aircraft Association (eaa.org) this year, a scholarship which supports students working toward their pilot licensure.
