Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

I wanted to share this with you! Last year I sent you Kaitlyn’s articles for graduating at the age of 19 with her bachelor’s degree in accounting. This year Kaitlyn graduates with her masters degree in accounting. She will begin her doctorate in business administration in the new year. This all began through the support of Everest Academy. Thank you for all you do to encourage and support home school students. You were such a blessing to me when we started this journey. Deb, I really appreciate all of your guidance and encouragement.

Hello! I am Stephanie Johnson. I homeschooled my two children through Everest Academy. I wanted to share with you an article from Athens University about my daughter Kaitlyn Johnson. She graduated Saturday, Dec 2 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting at the age of 19. Many outlets have picked up her article. Al.com is one news outlet that has picked it up. She has an interview scheduled with our local paper in Walker Co.


We wanted to share with your organization. You have been helpful and we are so thankful that we had the opportunity to homeschool our children because of your organization. Thank you. Keep up the good work. You are so needed, now more than ever!!
