✨✨ OUTSTANDING ALABAMA HOMESCHOOL STUDENT WINNER✨✨
We are THRILLED to introduce you to your 2020 Outstanding Alabama Homeschool Students. These 11th and 12th graders are being given the chance to shine in front of their families, community, and legislators. We put out the call for homeschool leadership to nominate, and they sent us some amazing kids!
Today we introduce you to:
Dagny Holt

▪️Won Junior Achievement BizTown Employee of the Day
▪️Award two years in a row during 6th and 7th grade.
▪️Won 4H Grand Championship in Western and English horse back riding.
▪️Placed 3rd prize at the Science Olympiad competition March 2017 in the Tower Building category
▪️Youth America Grand Prix; ballet event held to support and develop world-class dancers.
▪️Received the Silver Award in Girl Scouts in 9th grade.
▪️Senior member of Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre ballet.
▪️Has volunteered close to 100 hours in her community at organizations.
Hobbies: Ballet, horse-back riding, avid book reader and has attended the Book Con in NYC, drawing and working jig saw puzzles.
MINISTRY AND/OR COMMUNITY SERVICE INVOLVEMENT
Dagny has volunteered close to 100 hours in her community at organizations such as Burritt on the Mountain, Panoply, visiting nursing homes, being a library assistant, helping those not as fortunate as her through a program called Dance Connection and at her local dance studio helping with a Tutu's and Tiaras workshop for younger kids where she was a
leader.
✨Dagny Holt is a lovely young lady with grace, poise, and most importantly spunk. Dagny has taken the adventure of homeschool and used it to fill her days with exciting opportunities that most students her age don't even know exist. Dagny plans to attend college and major in a STEM field. She is interested in the ROTC programs offered at many colleges which may lead to service in the military after she finishes her college education.
