Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Enrollment Paperwork

STOP!!!
Please do not fill out the paperwork until you have read and understood the following:
Option 1
Easiest & Quickest
With this option, you will make payment and fill out paperwork online.  Payment can be made using a credit card, debit card, or Paypal account.  You do not have to have a Paypal account to use the button below.  Once we receive payment, we will send you links and instructions to complete the paperwork.  Please note that you should receive paperwork within 24 hours Monday - Friday.  If you make payment after 5:00 on Thursday, you will not receive the paperwork until Monday.  If you do not receive the paperwork within that time frame, please do contact us.
Please note if using the Paypal cart that your paperwork will go to the email address you provide with your payment.  Most times when someone does not get their paperwork it is because the paperwork has been sent to the email address attached to their Paypal account instead of their primary email address.

Option 2
With this option, you will print out all paperwork and mail it in along with payment.
Printable Enrollment Packet:
Stop!!!  You must send ALL of the following forms to Everest Academy.  DO NOT take any of the following forms to the school you are withdrawing from or the Board of Education without an official signature from Everest Academy.

Required Items:  This means that your enrollment will NOT be processed if you do not include ALL of the required items!!!!  

Per Child
  • Enrollment Packet  - Please fill out one Enrollment Packet PER CHILD.  I need all of these forms PER CHILD.  That means each child should have 5 filled out pages.  
Per Family
  1. Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (business-sized with 2 stamps "like what you would pay your bills with" - please DO NOT seal the return envelope.  If you use one of the big manila-sized envelopes, please adhere 4 stamps.
  2. Payment in the form of Cashier's Check or Money Order made out to Everest Family Church

Please note: It is not necessary to hand deliver your Enrollment Packet. This will not speed up the processing time. The Everest Academy office is open by appointment only.

After Filling Out Paperwork:

Everest Academy will process all paperwork and return:
  • Two (2) Church School Enrollment Forms per child.  You will:  
    • Keep one (1) copy per child for your own records.  Please put this in an easily accessible location.  
    • Mail one (1) copy per child to the appropriate city or county Board of Education Superintendent. The legal requirement for reporting you are homeschooling is fulfilled when you send in the Church School Enrollment Form to the local Board of Education Superintendent.  Look here for a list of addresses.
    • You can also optionally give a copy of this form to the school you are withdrawing from.  
  • Request for School Records Form (optional).  Forward this form (optional) to the appropriate school. I highly suggest doing this if you have a student grades 9th and up.  
  • An Everest Academy acceptance letter will be emailed to the email address you provide in your paperwork.    
You can expect your paperwork to be returned to you within about two weeks (usually sooner).  If you have not received all paperwork within two weeks, please contact Everest Academy. Don't worry, you are considered enrolled as of the date postmarked on the envelope.  If someone from the school contacts you before you receive your paperwork back in the mail, you are welcome to give them contact information for Everest Academy.  We will confirm that we are processing your paperwork. 


Need Your Paperwork Fast?
***Usually paperwork is done much quicker than two weeks, but here are some things you can do to expedite the process:***
  • Fill the paperwork out correctly.  If you do not follow instructions and send me a jumbled up mess, I WILL put it on the bottom of the pile.  If your paperwork is not complete, I will not process it at all.   
  • Do not send your paperwork certified or any other method that has to be signed for.  The post office will not deliver this to our address, and it has to be picked up from the post office.  It WILL slow down the processing time.
